7 Biggest Mistakes You Should Avoid in Life

Intro

The World is changing, so the people are. As we grow up, we start making every decisions on our own. The first biggest decision we make in life is about the education. Some people want to continue education and some want to start experiencing life from every corner either by starting business or by travelling and exploring the world. There is nothing right or wrong in these decisions. Learning from other’s mistakes can go a long way toward assisting you in achieving greatness and fortune in life. But some of the mistakes that makes us struggle most are

1. Chasing Money all the time

“Chasing money is worse than Dogs chasing the Cars”. Many cultures preach that if you have a good stream of income or you have a good amount of money built up, good things will follow you. Things like going to restaurants, taking exotic vacations or trips, home immersed with loads of tech, gadgets, entertainment options and freedom of doing everything with money you have. If you start thinking a little more about this, you will find out its not only money what you need, its happiness that you want in the end. Read these two statements loud. “More money will make things better”, “Happiness can be achieved with less or no money”. Now see which statement resonate more positive energy. (Joel Zaslofsky)

2. Neglecting the Health

“Health is Wealth”. Just imagine how you will generate wealth if your health is not supporting you. One day you are sick and need rest instead of going to work. But in mind you make a quick calculation about the loss if you not go to work. Next day you become more sick and now you need 3 days off instead of one day. Did you made a good decision or bad decision with the calculations. Do what you can to stay healthy. Eat right, exercise daily, meditate, limit your vices and take care of physical and mental health.

3. Stop Having Fun

Just because you are not in your 20’s anymore doesn’t mean you give up on enjoyment or fun. Go on date with your loved one, take trips, enjoy concerts with your friends. Don’t forget the money you work to make is useless if you are miserable.

4. Overconfidence

This word not needs much explanation. Thinking that you are better than you actually are, thinking that you are better than others, thinking that you know everything stops our knowledge from growing. Let’s be honest. How often do we think we can take on a challenge and later find out it was too much? Or that we can do a better job than our co-workers or competitors? And when we have conversations, how often do we think we know it better? It’s the classic pitfall of smart people. But as you and I both know, the wisest people in history stated they knew nothing. So why are we still overconfident?I think one of the reasons is that you stop questioning yourself after you achieve some small success. It’s very appealing to think you’re better. Maybe that’s the case. But it doesn’t matter. The moment you start thinking you’re better, you’re already losing. (Darius Foroux)

5. Needs and Wants

Everyone loves to go for shopping and spend money on things but before spending money we need to understand the fact that the thing we want to buy, do we actually need it or we just want it for temporary happiness. If you will start figuring out between your needs and wants you will start saving lot of money.

6. Refuse to learn

When we’re going through painful, crushing times, there are critical lessons we’re meant to learn, but many of us fail to get these lessons. We miss the point entirely. In fact, if you feel yourself in constant regret about what you should have done in the past, you’re failing to learn the right lessons. (Kathy Caprino)

7. Comparing to Others

Last decade made plethora of improvements in technology and Generation Z (generation after 1995) is highly connected to technology. They spend majority of time on social media looking into the lives of people and figuring out what they have or what they can buy to impress others. And when they are unable to do so, they get depressed, anxious and anger start reflecting in their behaviour. Fact is no one show the struggles or failure on social media they faced in life. Ultimately if you continuously compare to others your life will be drained of confidence, energy and vibrancy that you need to move forward in life.
